A recent visit by Dr. Nwachukwu Anakwenze, the Onowu of Abagana, to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the Caribbean has reignited cultural connections across the Atlantic. Dr. Anakwenze's trip aimed to reconnect with the Igbo diaspora and included a traditional Igbo ceremony involving the breaking of Kolanut.

During his visit, Dr. Anakwenze met with Dr. Cadrin Gill, an Igbo-American man who embraced his Igbo heritage after undergoing DNA testing. Dr. Gill, thrilled to discover his ancestry, welcomed Dr. Anakwenze into his home and expressed a keen desire to learn more about Igbo culture and traditions.
